Dear Golfer,
I am not a sports psychologist or teaching professional, however I am a life-long golfer with a deep love of the game. After playing on the golf team at Bradley University, where I received my B.A. in marketing, I moved to South Florida to pursue my dream of a career in golf. I apprenticed in the PGA program and played competitively on several mini-tours for three years. Life stepped in and brought me back to Chicago, where I now live and play golf as much as possible.
In my 25-year experience playing the game, I’ve come to notice how isolated and frustrated golfers can feel. Unlike many sports, golfers typically do not have the benefit of a coach or teammates to share the emotional journey of competition, be it a tournament or just a casual round with friends. Since we are literally on our own, we cannot share the stress, tension, and emotions as a round of golf unfolds – in the end, this unshared stress affects the player’s abilities and passion for the sport. Personally, I believe I fell short of my goal of playing the tour – not from a lack of preparation or physical capability – but because of the negative and wasted energy taking place between my own two ears.
PTR™ Labels will not replace practice on the range and course nor time spent with your local PGA golf professional. However, PTR golf club labels are a cost-effective tool that can work in concert with training to help golfers maximize their full potential – laying the foundation for a solid mental approach to the game. PTR Labels instill positive reinforcement before every swing. Ultimately, this foundation can help facilitate the desired growth and improvement from future lessons, drills, and practice. For more experienced golfers, PTR Labels simply help block unnecessary distractions, enabling them to focus on the task at hand; the target.
We look forward to playing a part in your success and enjoyment of the game!
Sincerely,
Zach Hall
Founder & Owner of PTR Labels
